Summary of course

This course can be used to refresh previous fire training, or new training to fulfil the duties of a Fire Marshal. Course candidates will be given an introduction on the legal requirements of the Regulatory (Fire Safety) Order 2005) and support safety requirements. Course delegates use of portable fire equipment and introduction to use of the fire risk assessment.

Learning tools

To assist the learning, candidates will be exposed to a short lecture and video on fire equipment. Candidates will gain confidence in the safe use of portable fire equipment. Delegates will also gain insight in how to inspect the fire equipment and on hazards to check for.

Conclusion of course:

On successfully demonstrating own ability to use safely the fire equipment and on completion of a multi choice question paper. Each course delegate will be awarded a certificate to show competence in new role and the certificate will last 3 years.
